Shade Crest: A Minecraft Community

If you just signed up for the forum and you are not getting the activation email check your junk folder! Those emails seem to go in there. I am working on this, and it should be fixed within 24 hours.

It has been brought to my attention that DOB for pretty much everyone was wrong on the forum. Mostly everyone was 10 years old, ha. This was due to the forum move.

I've reset everyone's DOB, and you can change it yourself now. Please note, that once you change it, you will not be able to change it again.

As you can see we have updated forum software. It will be replacement for the site and the forum, for both servers.

It will take me a while to get used to in and learn it and set it all up so please be patient. However you guys can start using it!

I did not update the donate site yet.

About DeathChest:
- When you die a chest is created in your position
- Chest stores 100 items you carry. If you have more than 100, it will pick at random
- You MUST have a chest in your inventory for you to leave a DeathChest
- Other players can open your DeathChest

Be sure to test out the DeathChest first before you rely on it. I want to make sure everyone is in the right permission group.

Added a VIP Snapshot server. See VIP board.

As most of you know Minecraft 1.3 will be coming out August 1st. If you still want to play on the server when you are asked to upgrade select "Not now." If you select to update to 1.3, you will not be able to play on the server until we update.

It will probably take us 1-2 weeks to update to Minecraft 1.3. It all depends how fast Bukkit releases a version for 1.3. Since they are part of Mojang now, I am hoping it will not take long.

Please do not bug admins or myself about when we will upgrade to 1.3 after it's out. We will do it as soon as possible.

Basically we were under charged $50 per month for hosting since we got our server. This is because we originally got a 1U server, but had to get a 4U case later so everything fits, and since 4U servers are much bigger they are $50 more per month to host.

I just got the invoice with what we were not paying added onto it. They actually were nice enough to take 50% off too since it was a mistake on their part as well. Instead of charging $490 they only added half ($245)

Long story short our invoice is $418 and it's due July 19th. Right now there is not money at all because I just paid $300 for those new drives we got.

So please if you thought about donating, now is really, really good time to do it, ha.

Oh I would love to see new players donating, not the same ones that continue to support the server.
