This is very much true but it is that learning curve that makes this game so top notch.

I have seen EVE Online for 4 years now from my father and i can say its a GREAT mmo if you have PLENTY of time. It has an amazing economy and pvp system which makes it really something special imo.. but every skill point/upgrade/research/crafting in this game needs REAL hours/days/months to get it. Also the real fun of this game is when you will get in a corporation(game guilds) and you go to the "0.0 security systems" where you will eat or be eaten.. but to get there you need like almost 1year of playtime so you can survive there xD With other words worths a try ;)

Gatouli you do not need a year to live in null sec. I have only been playing at the most 3 months. I dont even have 6mill skill points and I am living in nul sec. Nul sec is easy to live in if pay attention to your directional scan and who is in local. Also being in a corp helps out a bunch.

Dman2416 the first month i played I mined (soooo boring lol) then I got into faction warfare and running missions. I then saw some videos on ninja salvaging and finding left drones and that got me into exploration. So now I am in null sec doing exploration.

Its good in this game if you can figure out what you really want to do in the beginning so you can focus your skills. Your skill train if your playing or not play, that is one of the things that I really like about the game.

Yeah, mining is extremely boring lol, ratting (killing pirate NPC's for their bounties) isn't far better, but that's what I do for a living, and it gives me more than enough income to buy a PLEX (in-game item that gives you game time for in-game money). I'm part of the CFC, one of the major nullsec coalitions, so we get plenty of PvP brawls which is pretty cool.

Ninja looting is a pretty good way of getting money. Contact me in game and come over to The region Vale of the Silent so me and my friends can see how good of a ninja you are xD
