Everything I've done for the Minecraft servers can be explained as follows:
"A hole needed filling, so I filled it"
    no homo

So let's continue the trend, because AFAIK, none have polled the community as to what (multiplayer) games they still enjoy playing.

I don't know how many of you still lurk on the forum, but if you have an interest in playing with old SC buddies, now's your chance!

Post multiplayer games you like to play!
Can we run a dedicated server?
Is voice chat useful for it?
    Does it support mods?

Poll unrelated and for entertainment purposes only. Restrictions apply. Offer only valid in some states. Please seek medical help for an woodchuck lasting longer than 4 hours.

I do still lurk the forum (or at least my steam messages) and I do indeed play a couple other games that is multiplayer. To fill out your format...

    - Warframe (3rd person space ninja shooter PVE)
    - Only for PVP as of a week ago, and pvp isn't great anyway
    - Voice chat is very useful.
    - No mods whatsoever.

    - Starmade (Space minecraft)
    - Yep, and I've been looking for one to join while I finish my first ship in single player
    - Extremely useful. Factions are a part of the vanilla game and raiding npc factions or others requires good coordination
    - Yes, but the community is small enough they are uncommon, I haven't looked into server-side pluggins at all as the vanilla game has comparable complexity to modded minecraft and building mode has many basic tools already.

    -Team Fortress 2
    -I suppose so
    -Absolutely
    -Yes

    -GMod
    -Yes
-Most of the time, depends upon game mode (More useful in TTT than Melon Bombers)
    -It would be weird without

ARK, FTB, 7 Days to Die, SE/ME (if they ever implement the improved net code),
Running all these servers already (minus 7 days), although SE/ME is barely playable because they developer needs to get their shit together
    Yeah, duh
    Yup

Another game I have my eye on, but holding back until it's developed more

Well my compy is crappy, so I can't play many games. Luckily, Valve's games are dated, at least in terms of size.

To be fair, I've been watching Osiris as well. However until I see the spaceship design and how good the building system actually is, I've never been into purely survival games all that much. I would consider playing it though if a few guys wanted to jump on teamspeak and do it.

Space Engineers has a beautiful new planet system but the code makes most servers have fairly harsh limitations on what you can do to keep lag down which makes the gameplay like an improved but still inadequate NoMan's in my opinion.

Starmade is about to introduce a very good npc system (one the devs like to stream and I've got to know him a bit) which might make it more enjoyable for people who don't just like to build ships/stations and engineer systems, but who knows. Currently it is fairly easy to build to a scale where several people can ride around on a mother ship and then pilot fighters and such to raid other factions which is fun. I'd be more than happy to design a fleet for such a purpose if anyone was interested. Also, blueprints can be easily transferred between servers so once you've designed a ship as long as you have the resources to craft it you can spawn it anywhere. That way, you can focus on resource collection and gearing in pvp environments. But enough plugging.

I'm sure I'd enjoy a bit of TF2 even though I haven't played before if I had voice comms.

    Hope that helps.

Not too big on MP anymore, but I'd love to play with ye. Although I'm in Transition Year (Irish school system, tl;dr is we get lots of free time), Skyrim is gonna take over my life for the third time so I won't be able to play much other games. Maybe we could do something with that multiplayer mod?

    DOOM mulitplayer
IDK if ye can run a dedicated server or not
Yeah, but nobody uses it in-game
    no mods

    Starbound
    Yes
Yes, I use skype to talk with friends as there's no in-game feature for it
Yes, through Steam Workshop and nexus (although unlike Skyrim, SW is better than the Nexus version)

Casual reminder that there's an SC steam group, which would be a good place to see what people are playing.

I myself haven't played any mmos (or video games in general) for a fortnight. Hence why I haven't been on MC.

I had been playing quite a bit of Heroes and Generals (f2p world war 2 shooter). I've also sunk 200ish hours into Warframe in the past, so I could be persuaded to come back to it.

That said, I'm happy to try any most mmos, provided they aren't too expensive. I'll go with the community for the most part.

Clans may also be a viable alternative to dedicated servers in some circumstances. It's easier for us to move between servers and recruit new people in, as well as take the stress off of people who would otherwise be maintaining the servers. Not to mention there's less skin in the game in case getting a playerbase is harder than first anticipated.

I do know for one that Warframe has no 3rd party servers that I know of (I played literal years ago), but instead involves clans which reaps a whole bunch of benefits in game.

I'd be more than happy to run an ingame clan in Warframe, although I'm a completionist so hopefully a few people would be active enough to gather resources to do all the clan-only weapon researches.

Other than that, just simply agreeing to all go and try out a game would go a long way towards building a mobile community.

If anyone is interested in playing Spacehulk: Deathwing, I will be playing it like crazy once it's released.

Not sure I'll be in the right timezone. I think I'll also be able to get a few irl friends in on it, then there's always people ingame who want to join a clan. Provided we have active players who are happy to play with others, that's all we really need.

Also, a completionist in Warframe? You'll be there a while...
