I commonly used the old spawn for the treasure hunts only because they offered a large area for people to hunt in where the borders are already clearly marked out; they also offered many good hiding places. I might hold a few hunts in the new spawn but otherwise I will hide them all around the worlds.
Hopefully I didn't make it too hard for you to hide stuff ^^ I think there might be some really good hiding spots.

A mighty hunt is coming up! You WILL want to find this one, I can tell you that it is worth more than anything given out in the past! It is also the trickiest one to find. You want a shot at it? Just go hunting at /warp treasure, it is also in the snowy biome. If I catch anyone cheating (using prism, xraying, so on) they will be banned!

The biome clue was a little bit unspecific, I'll shorten it down to a radius of 200. It is also above level 50
New hint guys! It is not in a tree (not touching a leaf block)! Also, as I have been asked this, the chest is not in the sky (at least one of the 26 blocks around it is something other than air)
Another hint for you! It is not in a cave! Also, the chest is buried beneath some obsidian and quarts, you should be looking for this.
Ya so um I would go to believe I found the treasure chest. If it contained a dragon egg and 4 monster stone bricks eggs, then I found it. Attached is a picture with all that I found and took from it.
