:s Well I just did a registry cleanup along with a windows update that had a service pack...that might solve it...it could be anything because i have no clue how to troubleshoot bsod's.

im gonna run a disk defrag and virus scan later tonight

    2 years old
    Laptop Model: VAIO VPCEB190X
Video Card: ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5470
    Processor: Quad Intel Core i5 CPU M520 @ 2.4GHz
    Operating System: 64-Bit Windows 7
HDD: ST9500420AS 456 GB with 225 GB free
    RAM: 6GB

Only thing sticking out is that i recently installed blender 3d and gimp. Nothing much other than that. No new websites either. I don't think it's malware. Crash happened after my gpu recovered from some kind of crash when i had minecraft opened and i watched a youtube video. But my gpu has been fine since the BSoD and after i did a windows update, so I don't think it could have burnt out/broke

Could be your memory Card. That happened to me. Also what about your processor? any problems with that lately?

Memory card? my HDD? i dont think it's my hard drive. Processor works fine. I ran diagnostics on the hardware like GPU, CPU and RAM and nothing came up.

Most likely could have been some sort of driver failure

Did you try turning it off then turning it back on again?

Yeah. That sounds like it's most likely your driver. Do you have everything up to date on it?

Make anything with a hight triangle count or polygon count in blender? It sounds like a graphics drivers corrupted. Id getting the most up to date drivers.

Hmm then I have no idea what could be wrong unless your computer is just saying it's time for it to go.

I made this with samples set to 250, which doesn't really sound like too much.
