Better Lighting

I wish there was a way to apply glowstone to other blocks so you could use any block as a light source. Or maybe invisible glowstone blocks so you can place them as a light source but not have to see the actual block. The glowstone blocks always look so out of place.


Edit: Apparently it can't be done with a plugin because lighting is handled locally not server-side. Dang it.

 

try putting it in the floor and placing carpet over it

 

Put a piece of glowstone down then put leaves around it. It's my favorite

just place beacons everywhere, they put out light

 

lol and so practical , far less obtrusive than a glowstone block.

 

While we're at it, brown mushrooms have a light level of 1

 

Yeah, try glowstone or jack-o-lantern under carpet, or redstone lamps, or torches behind glass perhaps?

 

You can put torches under carpet too (most economical)

Put a glowstone behind an item frame with a map on it Not the most cost effective, but if you have a good map, it's beautiful.
