Please fill out the poll, events are way too late.

Ginger, we've had this discussion a countless number of times. We have members on the survival server from all over the world; there is no perfect time to run events, and so the minority is going to lose out. This poll of yours is fine, but I guarantee that, unless no one votes, events are still going to be "way too late" for you.

Just a note, we could also discuss moving days instead of times.
For people in the east of Australia current event times are placing them at around 6am west is around 9am, for GMT it's 10pm, EST it's 5pm, and PST is 3pm.
Current event times are effecting Australia and the UK. Moving them back 1 hour is good for the UK and bad for Australia. Moving the time forward is bad for the UK and still bad for Australia since most people will be going/in school/work since it's monday.
So unless we completely ignore the Australian players the only viable solution is moving days to saturday (if we even end up doing anything).
I don't see how moving days is not possible. I know the whole "We tried it once and no one came!" but IMO it's because people hadn't had time to adjust to the new day and didn't know about it so hadn't come, and it was probably something to do with the declining number of players anyway.
From what I've recently seen there are maybe 10 people on for events, there might be 2-3 more people who were able to play if we moved days. It's not like moving days is effecting 20-30 people like it was a year ago.
It would probably be easier to get all the EU players to move to America.

Looking at the demographics currently in the time zone thread there isn't really a sweet spot to accommodate everyone.

We've tried numerous times to change the events...it always goes back to 5pm est...plus ginger is hardly ever on...why is it that it's almost always the ppl who are hardly ever on complain the most :-\

I'm on occasionally during 4pm to 10pm GMT, which is far earlier in the day for you. But for the last 2 days, STEAM SALE!!!

Moving it to Saturday isn't a bad idea. No school the day after, so people can actually be up latr

Would mini events work? Like if we did one at the time it is at with gc and auctions, then a smaller one in a time that works for the people who can't make it to the current time? However, there's the problem with staff not being available to run them... That was just an idea that has probably already been suggested multiple times and definitely won't work but oh well.

I'll make this simple. No we're not moving days yet again, no we're not moving times again since there is no real good time to satisfy everyone.

I do however apologize for not being as active as before with events and I do intend to get back into the regular flow of it again after my finals are over. (Dec 15th) Which means glass cage, variety auctions will become active once more.

Back on note, have fun with the poll.

The majority has now voted to change the time, how is this the minority losing out? I don't see the issue with moving days to saturday.
If anyone can present me with a legitimate issue that is seriously going to effect things instead of just "no" with no real explanation then a witty half assed comment that would be great.

Last time we moved events to Saturday, less people ended up showing up. It's cool if people "say" they'll be there, but it only matters if people actually show up.

Mage is a little asshole. Either you highlighted this, or are using Tapatalk. Maybe somebody quoted this and you are reading it.
Mage is either trying to be funny, or plain stupid.

The events still require a good amount of setup. We are used to having them on Sunday, so our schedules aren't nearly as flexible on Saturday. If the time was 1-2 hours earlier, then you put people on the west coast (USA) in a pinch. This would be fine if our time zone didn't include awastedlife, the leader of glass cage and auctions. Again, this takes time away from setup if he has any prior arrangements, and those two events take the longest to prepare.

The majority of votes were to change the time when you posted, but the people that voted are a small subset of event attendees. I personally haven't voted because I don't expect it to change.

This might be able to change in the future if we make events more automated, but you are still looking at a good chunk of time dedicated to running the events, and it would be difficult to adjust the free times of enough staff to properly handle events.
