So I'm in the process of building my own computer. I've never done this before, but from what I researched, it doesn't seem too difficult (at least for a person like me). I'm posting this thread for others who have built there own. Currently, I'm picking out different parts. Just tell me what you think. I'll probably be asking a ton of questions throughout the thread too. ^_^

    Current Prospective Parts
    AMD Phenon II X6 1100T (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103913)
    Sapphire Toxic Radeon HD 6950 2Gb (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102951)

    Possibles
    GSkill Ripjaw X Series (8 GB, 2x4GB) DDR3 240-pin 1866 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231455)
WD Caviar Black 1 TB 7200 RPM (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136284)

I'm thinking of having a budget around 1k - 1.2k depending on how things price out. I really don't have any intention of switching out my processor or graphics card. Both I'm pretty set on and are very good at relatively good prices. Intel i7s are just too much in price, and the 1100T is almost equivalent.

Probably going to be looking for some cheap ram and HD. 7200 rpm and 1 Tb on the hard drive and around 8 Gb on the ram. I'm guessing I'll find a motherboard that supports both the processor/GPU i got picked out. As for power supply and the case, I'm pretty clueless, so if you have any suggestions, that would be great. I'm debating whether to get one monitor or two. I guess it depends on what type of price range i'm looking at overall.

If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know.

Question: How important is ram speed?
Question: What does ram timing refer to?
Question: Does anyone notice any part conflicts?

Why build YOU a computer, when you could build KANGUS one! :D
