man that was so sad when i heard about that... so many great players, great people... role models....

It is very sad. Wiped out an entire team, and most of the staff. One of the worst tragedies in all of sport history.
43 people, almost all the staff, 7 crew of the plane, their entire 4 starting lines minus a thrid line player whom survived... only two people surived, the third liner, and a crew of the plane the gents in red at the memorial are former players for the team, and various other members of the organization... the team that crashed contained former NHL stars, stanley cup winners, and in itself was a championship team, they were the hopefuls to take the league championship and then the super league championship this year as well...
