Is there a some sort of command on the creative server to keep farmland hydrated and from turning back into dirt without water? just for looks?

He means something as in terms of something like leaf decay or ice melting. he wants permanent farmland. not the type that dries up.
This may be something that can be done in world guard...not sure

you can disable trampling with world guard, but you need water near it to keep it hydrated, I think bukkit added something to keep it hydrated, but I have not seen a plugin for it.

The specific trample feature you have to configure in the config file, I can't explain how it works because Java.

Technically you can. You would just have to poke imaxorz enough for him to change it and look into it.

I think you could also put water under the farm land you want wet.
I once saw a video where a guy did this, although it does make all the farm land wet in the area.

Farmland only stays hydrated when the water is either level, or one block above it

Ah seems I've been proven wrong, majestic moose you've jogged my memory now and also inspired me to start on some farm land.
this picture is more like what the guy was doing, put water under the levels that are on higher ground.

edit* whoops this has become a little off topic[IMG]

A little more like rice patties. Not a field.

Is there a way to edit in crops onto the farmland? just use a compass and be fast. Idk if this still works, but I think I did it once. (If you haven't tried already)
